The Nutter Center Website, 1998

Following a 1986 donation of $1.5 million dollars, the sports and entertainment venue called the “Nutter Center” began construction. On August 7, 1996, the Nutter Center launched its own domain website, separate from being just a static information page on Wright State University’s directory. The website was referenced in a 1997 Dayton Daily News article mentioning it’s “home on the World Wide Web at nuttercenter.com” for information on concerts, venue, and a schedule of events. Customers would be able to navigate the page with simple hyperlinks and a central layout. This 1998 website was different from the left aligned layout for the small screens of the time, and reflected professionalism using consistent branding and hyperlink navigation, important for the user experience of the time.
